Bryce Steffan is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in biology and is an undergraduate research assistant in the Gruenstaeudl lab. His research focuses on developing open-source tools for data quality assessment of organelle genomes archived on GenBank. He has a passion for medicine and has the goal of becoming a medical doctor.
